On the Issue of Developing a Unified Quality Assessment System for Speech Therapy at Different Stages of Comprehensive Support for Education, Development, and Rehabilitation of Children with the Consequences of Local Brain Lesions

The research reveals some aspects of developing and implementing a unified approach to assessing the quality of speech therapy in the system of comprehensive support for children with severe speech disorders caused by the consequences of focal brain lesions. The author presents the results of the analysis of literary sources reflecting theoretical aspects and practical ways of solving the problem of interdepartmental interaction of specialists implementing speech therapy rehabilitation programs at different stages of education and comprehensive rehabilitation of children with the consequences of severe organic brain lesions. The paper discusses the issues of regulatory and methodological support for the continuity of speech therapy care. The analysis of the current state of the regulatory framework regulating the interdepartmental interaction of specialists is presented. The author reveals the principles, methodological basis, criteria, and parameters on which the technology of determining the effectiveness of communicative and speech rehabilitation or habilitation of children with speech disorders after stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other local brain lesions is based. The author considers the possibility of ensuring the continuity of monitoring the quality of speech-language support for children with speech disorders based on the developed system at all stages of their comprehensive rehabilitation, education, and development. Based on the analysis of many years of practical experience in speech therapy rehabilitation of children with the consequences of stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other brain lesions in educational and healthcare institutions, the ways to optimize interagency interaction based on a unified system of quality assessment of speech therapy care were identified. The issues of practical application of the principles of the International Classification of functioning, health, and life limitations in the system of assessing the quality of speech therapy support for children with severe speech disorders at different stages of their complex rehabilitation are considered.
