摘要

This paper analyzes Internet of Things (IoT) education across the top 25 universities in the USA, categorizing courses across five key domains - IoT Devices, Networking, Cloud, Analytics, and Interfaces. The analysis provides insights into curriculum structure, emerging focus areas, teaching methods, and assessments used. Findings indicate comprehensive IoT education requires a diverse, interdisciplinary curriculum encompassing hardware, software, and theoretical concepts. While graduate programs offer specialized courses, undergraduate programs provide broad exposure. Most universities emphasize hands-on learning to build relevant skills. The paper highlights that IoT education must align with current industry advancements in areas like AI and blockchain. It presents useful benchmarks for developing impactful university-level IoT programs to meet evolving workforce demands.
