IoT Environment Based on Multi Agent System in Smart Home

摘要

The ubiquity of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has automated and digitized various aspects of communication, data collection, and management. However, the primary challenge lies in establishing effective communication between devices, given the distinct properties and heterogeneity of each device. This paper addresses key challenges in the IoT domain, emphasizing the need to resolve issues such as data management, service discovery, user interfaces, service customization, and context awareness. Notably, the paramount challenge remains the communication among IoT objects. To tackle this, we propose a solution through the implementation of a Multi-Agent System (MAS). A MAS comprises a collection of agents situated in an environment where interactions rely on specific relationships. The appeal of utilizing multi-agent systems lies in their ability to enhance robustness and efficiency, facilitate collaboration among existing systems, and address problems inherent in distributed data, knowledge, and control due to agent involvement. Our proposed approach involves the development of an IoT environment by seamlessly integrating agents into IoT objects. Through experiments, we demonstrate that this approach holds promise as a viable solution to streamline communication among heterogeneous objects within the IoT environment.
