Application of Soft Computing Techniques for Clustering in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks: A Survey
摘要
Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) are dynamic mobile networks that use multi-hop communication. VANETs are a very important part of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and can be used in a wide range of applications. In VANETs vehicles exchange information and use this information to make intelligent decisions to optimize travel time and traffic management to minimize congestion. Due to the increased number of vehicles, clustering is very important in VANETs. Clustering can be used to improve network management and scalability in VANETs. Creation and stability of clusters is a challenge in VANETs. In this paper we have presented a survey on different works where soft computing techniques are used for clustering in VANETs and discuss their advantages and limitations.
