Cam Analysis
摘要
Cams are mechanisms that translates the rotary motion of the disc cam profile to a prescribed linear or oscillatory motion o its follower. Figure 8.1 illustrates a cam using a knife edge follower and We develop equations to calculate the rise of the follower as well as a simple approach to developing the disc cam’s profile. We start by defining the linear motion of the knife-edge follower attached to the plate (or disc cam). Equation (8.1) defines the angular velocity of the cam in revolutions per the total time, T, it takes to make one revolution of the cam.
