Implementation of a Cloud Based Voice Recognition Motor Control System for Omnidirectional Wheelchair

摘要

In recent years, there are designed and developed various robots which can collaborate with a wide range of devices to assist humans. Also, industrial robots have many applications in factory operations. Moreover, robots such as vacuum cleaners, security bots, therapy robots, and wheelchair robots offer valuable assistance in various human tasks. Thus, the robots and related technologies can improve the quality of life. Worldwide there are more than one billion people with disabilities who rely on wheelchairs for their mobility. In this paper, we implment a cloud based voice recognition motor control system for omnidirectional wheelchair. Also, we implemented a measurement system for the voice control of omnidirectional wheelchair. The average voice recognition time for each direction is “Front”: 0.981 [s], “Back”: 0.942 [s], “Right”: 0.960 [s], and “Left”: 0.954 [s]. From these results, we conclude that the cloud based voice recognition system can be used for control of omnidirectional wheelchair.
