A WOS-Based Investigation of Authors for English Predatory Journals

This study focuses on the author’ profile publishing articles in English predatory journals. To this end, we utilize bibliometrics and statistical analysis methods to investigates the statistical patterns and characteristics of authors publishing their articles in English predatory journals from the perspective of time distribution, spatial breadth, citation distribution, and topic distribution. Our study may help to gain a comprehensive understanding of this group's overall situation and characteristics, uncover specific characteristics and publication patterns among authors and identify commonalities among authors of predatory journals worldwide.
