Vascular Tumours and Pseudotumorous Vascular Lesions of the Testicle

摘要

Angiomas make up the bulk of testicular vascular lesions. They are the most common tumours in childhood and their behaviour is benign. Diagnosis usually requires intraoperative biopsy before enucleation can be performed. Among the remaining vascular pathologies are two well-known but rare entities, testicular artery aneurysm and arteriovenous malformation. Two other processes have been included in this chapter: the recently described testicular hemangiomatosis, in which the proliferation of capillaries diffusely distorts the testicular architecture and simulates a tumour; the second is testicular pseudoangioma, a non-tumour histological finding in the study of patients with disorders in sex development in whom the vessels forming angioma-like conglomerates are fine arterioles.
