摘要

An abnormal and excessive development of the lymphatic vessels (lymphangiectasia) can be observed in the testicles or in paratesticular structures in the presence of very diverse pathologies, whether congenital or acquired. The lymphatic vessels can dilate and acquire a cystic appearance due to the difficulty of proper drainage. Although in most cases, this phenomenon is associated with another pathology, of which it may even form part, in others the aetiology is unknown. Special mention should be made of two previously undescribed situations. The testicular lymphangiectasias that male to female transgender patients develop during hormone treatment and a condition that simulates lymphangiectasias, for which the name testicular pseudolymphangiectasias or microcystic testicular edema is proposed. Immunohistochemical study facilitates the diagnosis.
