Application of a Novel Nanotherapeutic Strategy in Ayurvedic Treatment
摘要
The importance of herbal medicines is increasing day by day due to the deterioration of human immune characteristics in a rapidly changing environment. The inclination towards processed foods due to the degradation of land fertility causes the emergence of new health issues. The rate of chronic genetic issues and cancer is also increasing due to environmental degradation and climate change. Furthermore, the increasing rate of consumption of allopathic drugs reduces the immune characteristics of human health. Hence, it is high time to incline towards herbal medicines due to their greater effectiveness and fewer side effects. However, the issue with herbal drugs is the lower biocompatibility of the bioactive herbal extracts and their slow rate of action in the body. Nanotechnology will play a significant role in remediating this issue through effective targeted and non-targeted drug delivery. Nanocarriers increase the bioavailability of herbal extracts in the body. Moreover, it reduces the possibility of side effects by ensuring targeted drug delivery. The application of nanobiosensors enables sensor-based drug delivery, which facilitates the constant monitoring of the pharmacokinetic path of the drug molecules. It enriches the research work in the fields of pharmacology and medical science. A nanotherapeutic approach improves the therapeutic strategy for acute diseases like cancer, genetic diseases, neurological diseases, behavioural disorders, cardiovascular disorders, and acute bone fractures. The integration of nanotechnology will improve the therapeutic efficiency of herbal medicines, which will expand the application of Ayurveda in society.
