Molybdenum Disulfide: A 2D Material

Molybdenum disulfide is an appealing 2D (two dimensional) material that has unusual properties. It possesses a wide variety of applications in the real world. It’s one-of-a-kind composition and innate properties make it an intriguing candidate for use in a wide variety of fields, including those dealing with electronics, energy, and biological applications, amongst others. The presented work tries to showcase a comprehensive investigation of the synthesis methods in addition to its structural and electrical properties, and several application. A thorough discussion of the fundamental features of MoS2 like the substance’s crystal structure, electrical band structure, and mechanical properties are covered. Emphasis is placed on the synthesis approaches that were used in order to produce MoS2 samples of an exceptionally high standard. A complete analysis of the many uses of MoS2 is presented. These applications include its use in sensors, catalysis, energy storage, and other important domains.
