Using Scrum to Build Tourism Information Mobile Application

This research aimed to discern the requisites of nature-based tourism enthusiasts in Taiwan concerning service attributes and communication. The goal was to devise a mobile application for service promotion using the Scrum method. Conducting primary research in November 2023 via interviews with a cohort of 10 individuals, the investigation delved into the behaviors and challenges faced by foreign nature-based tourism enthusiasts in Taiwan. It also explored their communication preferences and expectations regarding mobile application features. The research outcomes facilitated the delineation of the profile characterizing a foreign tourist. This, in turn, led to strategic recommendations for enhancing promotional endeavors related to the country’s nature-based tourism. Leveraging insights from primary research and applying the Scrum methodology, a mobile application project was conceptualized to amplify the visibility of this tourism offering.
