Insect Repellents
摘要
The use of insect repellents is common in the general population as a public health strategy to prevent vector-borne diseases, but the correct use of the substance, concentration, and application remain a major issue in its effectiveness and safety. Synthetic and natural repellents such as N, N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide, picaridin, or citronella are widely used, but they may present adverse effects like toxicity if they are not used properly. This review enlists the most common IR and its characteristics.
