摘要

Impetigo is an acute bacterial-origin dermatosis caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes that affect the superficial layers of the epidermis. It is also called impetigo contagious, impetigo bullosa, or impetigo of Tilbury fox. Main risk factor is the alteration of the integrity of the skin due to different causes and diseases that affect the host’s immune. There are two main types of impetigo: the non-bulloso and the bulloso, primary or secondary. The diagnosis is clinical and can be confirmed by gram-staining bacterial culture. Treatment varies depending on the extent and severity of the disease, with topic and systemic antibiotics.
