摘要
Superficial mycosis contained within the group of superficial pheohyphomycosis is caused by the fungus Hortaea werneckii (formerly Exophiala werneckii or Phaeoannellomyces). The clinical picture is characterized by the presence of an hyperchromic macule or plaque on the palm of the hands, predominantly unilateral, asyntomatic. The diagnosis is made based on the clinical and the mycological findings. The treatment is mainly topical with keratolytic and antifungal agents.
