Management Control Systems and Innovation in Textile Industry

This study delves into the symbiotic relationship between Management Control Systems (MCS) and innovation in the textile industry through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis, aiming to bridge the current knowledge gap. Utilizing a systematic literature review, the research scrutinizes scholarly articles from 2004 to 2023, encompassing various documents from databases like Scopus and Web of Science. The methodology includes publication pattern analysis, citation analysis, co-word analysis, and authorship trends, offering a quantitative overview of the research landscape in this field. Findings highlight a growing focus on technological innovation, sustainable practices, and the strategic role of MCS in decision-making, while underscoring the lack of understanding in the cultural and organizational aspects of innovation management. The study reveals the essential role of MCS in shaping organizational culture and driving innovation, emphasizing the need for integrating sustainability and technological advancements. It identifies gaps and potential areas for future research, stressing the importance of international collaboration and exploring under-represented topics to enrich the textile industry's innovation and adaptability.
