Teaching as Solidarity Work

This chapter is the culmination of my crystallising conscientização and a call to the teaching profession to undertake solidarity work that identifies and resists oppression. In this chapter, I look inwards at the personal and relational, and I look outwards at wider socio-political forces that impact teacher work. The chapter is presented as two letters to Paulo Freire and in response to his Teachers as Cultural Workers and Pedagogy of Indignation.
