Toolset for the Development of a Power Driver with Arbitrary Current Waveform for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
摘要
This project aims to enhance the understanding of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and create a comprehensive set of tools and an environment for developing electronic drives and control strategies. This framework comprises a digital three-phase waveform generator and power circuits. The digital circuit was described in VHDL (VHSIC hardware description language) and contains blocks for frequency variation, digital description of harmonic sine waves, generation of the characteristic lags of the three-phase system, amplitude variation, and PWM (pulse width modulation) output, used to provide an efficient, accurate, and controlled way to vary the power supplied to the motor. Arbitrary waveforms will be generated by describing the first five harmonics of a Fourier series. The power and control circuits had the expected output signals in the simulations and experimental tests performed separately. The digital circuit was tested in an FPGA, and the power circuit prototype is under lab tests.
