Projector-Camera Calibration Method Based on Pattern Geometric Constraints

Digital projector applications require high precision, precisely computing the intrinsic parameters and distortion characteristics. In this work, we propose a method for geometric calibration of a projector-camera system. A chessboard calibration pattern is projected onto the whiteboard with an attached circle pattern at different poses and captured by the camera. We propose a two-step algorithm to calculate the relationship between the camera projector and intrinsic camera and projector parameters. We analyze the result of the proposed methodology in different conditions, such as image number and calibration plane position.
