Even when there is no active conflict, there are plenty of concerns about the treatment of witches and wizards. Just think about the lack of a fair trial (whether Sirius or Hagrid), torture (from dementors to Umbridge’s term at Hogwarts) and the treatment of house-elves. We will take a look at how lawyers would assess this and what ways might exist for witches and wizards to complain about human rights abuses.
