Orthodontic-Surgical Management of Class II Malocclusion
摘要
Class II malocclusion associated with a significant skeletal aetiology will require combined orthodontics and orthognathic surgery for definitive correction. Here, we describe the role of the orthodontist and surgical team in the clinical management of Class II patients with a significant skeletal discrepancy. We focus on diagnosis and treatment planning, including essential cephalometric analysis, preoperative and postoperative orthodontics, stability of surgical correction and essential soft tissue changes.
