Conclusions and Future Research Directions

For better system design and performance evaluation of UAV wireless communications, both the comprehensive understanding of UAV propagation channel characteristics and the accurate and easy-to-use UAV channel models are indispensable. In this chapter, the contents of Chaps. 1 – 8 are adequately summarized. Some important research directions, which can be considered as the guidelines for developing more accurate, less complex, and more general UAV channel models, are illustrated from the perspectives of the channel measurement and the channel modeling.
