摘要

This abstract provides a brief overview of the comprehensive study on the implementation of circular economy principles to drive sustainable development in India. India, as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, faces pressing challenges related to resource depletion, environmental degradation, and waste generation. The adoption of circular economy principles offers a viable solution to these challenges. By promoting resource efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable consumption and production practices, a circular economy framework in India can contribute significantly to achieving sustainable development goals. This study explores various facets of the circular economy in the Indian context. It delves into the potential economic benefits, job creation opportunities, and environmental impacts of transitioning from a linear “take-make-dispose” model to a circular and regenerative one. Key sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, and waste management, are examined in detail, highlighting the potential for improved resource management, and reduced environmental burdens.
