This chapter has three parts. First, we describe an architecture for connecting and reasoning with neurons and describe applications of this neural network technology. In the second section, we describe early research in the area called neuron nets by the 1956 Dartmouth Workshop, including the work at MIT of McCulloch and Pitts and Hebb. Finally, we introduce perceptron learning.

摘要

This chapter has three parts. First, we describe an architecture for connecting and reasoning with neurons and describe applications of this neural network technology. In the second section, we describe early research in the area called neuron nets by the 1956 Dartmouth Workshop, including the work at MIT of McCulloch and Pitts and Hebb. Finally, we introduce perceptron learning.
