In this chapter, we explore the genesis of industries and the strategic maneuvers entrepreneurs employ to launch and sustain revolutionary ideas. We underscore the importance of adopting blue ocean strategies during an industry’s inception and introduce the ERIC framework. The analytical approach this offers serves as a compass for entrepreneurs to navigate the uncertainties of industry innovation, offering strategies for survival and success in evolving economic landscapes. We conclude the chapter by discussing the use of the Business Model Canvas in entrepreneurial discovery and summarizing leadership challenges in innovation.
