Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment CGA

Older people living with frailty are complex to assess. Complexity demands a holistic assessment that seeks out multiple factors contributing to what are often non-specific presentations, in order to create a stratified problem list that can guide care and improve outcomes. Such assessments and care necessities a multidisciplinary team working in a co-ordinated manner, with blurring of traditional competency boundaries. This chapter describes such approaches and illustrates how they might work in practice.
