Towards Totalitarian Regime: Legal and Organisational Aspects of Transformation of Defence and Security Forces

Within this chapter, the author tries to point out certain constant legal and organisational benchmarks of an impending totalitarian regime that manifest themselves within the state security institutions, such as security forces and armed forces. The aim of the conducted reasoning is to separate the abnormalities within those structures that could be tolerated in a democratic state from those that are clear signs of arising totalitarian tendencies.
