Failed Justice and the Victims of the Eastern Front of the First World War: Criminal Justice–Vigilante Justice–Political Justice

This chapter examines justice for the victims of the First World War from three perspectives: First, it will consider the Istanbul trials and their outcome. Second, it will scrutinise the trial of the political assassin Soghomon Tehliryan and its outcome as well as its impact on the international community, and, third, it will observe the recognition and satisfaction of victims as political justice.
