摘要

In this chapter, we design a random-access directional FD MAC (DFDMAC) protocol compatible with IEEE 802.11ay, supporting typical directional FD transmission modes, including bidirectional FD transmission, simultaneous uplink and downlink transmissions, and FD relay transmission. To reduce the impact of the residual self-interference, inter-beam interference, and variable-length data packets on an FD link throughput, we formulate link capacity maximization problems for three FD transmission modes and propose a power control algorithm to find the optimal transmit powers. Moreover, we design a new busy-tone (BT) mechanism to avoid deafness and directional hidden-node problems and improve the fairness of channel access among all the nodes. The BT mechanism can also be used to quickly identify the corruption caused by the blockage problem and enables FD relay transmission to resume. Simulation results show that the proposed DFDMAC can significantly improve the throughput and fairness performance compared with the state-of-the-art protocol.
