Reading Instruction for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Understanding Instructional Needs and Approaches to Intervention
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of the current state of reading instruction for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). First, a review of observation studies of reading instruction for students with ASD is provided. Second, a summary of reader profile studies of students with ASD is described. Finally, we summarize findings from both single-case design and group design studies of intervention research for students with ASD for word recognition, reading fluency, and comprehension instruction.
