摘要

In this chapter we analyse the venuevenue for the competition—may this be a virtual lobby, where playersplayers meet, or a big stadium with thousands of spectators. We look into different options to host the event, outlining characteristics of each of them, including advantages and challenges of each of the options. This is essential to understand what type of setup is possible within the given circumstances. This depends on various factors—including the resources available and the ability to fill in the venue. We will discuss the critical aspects of venue planning, focusing on the suitable setup based on available resources, infrastructure, and audience capacity. We examine various venue options for offlineoffline events, such as computer clubs, ballrooms, studios, and arenas, each offering distinct benefits and limitations. The chapter emphasises the importance of playerplayers comfort and sound and light isolation for offline events. We also study a detailed technical checklist for ensuring smooth event operations, covering internet, electricity, software, and hardware requirements. The managementmanagement of spectators is also addressed, highlighting the need for efficient ticket sales, venue access, navigation, food and merchandise availability, and audience engagement.
