Early Mobilization Is Important After Hip and Knee Arthroplasty—Why?

Early mobilization following hip and knee arthroplasty is an integral part of the fast-track protocol currently implemented by many orthopedic institutions to improve patient care, faster return to daily activities, and decrease cardiovascular complications. Such approach also allows for an increase in the volume of patients undergoing joint arthroplasty and a reduction in hospital costs.
