Screening and Optimization for the Prevention of Infection: Eradication of Distant Infection, Bacterial Carriers, and Antiseptic Body Wash
摘要
Staphylococcus aureus is the most commonly identified organism in surgical site infection (SSI) and periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) [1, 2]. Methicillin-sensitive S. aureus (MSSA) bacteria are the most prevalent, but resistance against methicillin is increasingly seen. These methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) infections make treatment more difficult and burdensome.
