Mathematics on the Computer

Solving mathematical problems was one of the original aims of computer development. Three systems should be emphasized. Microsoft Mathematics ranges from simple arithmetic to differential and integral calculus. The screen is modelled on a pocket calculator, and the system can be used up to the second year of study in the relevant subjects. The “Mathematica” system was created by the Wolfram Research Company and has been expanded and perfected over many years. Practically, all current mathematics is available on the computer. This has enormous consequences for education. Students only need to be taught the content of the concepts and the areas in which the respective concepts are used. The actual calculations are then carried out by the computer. A similar concept is realized by a system called Maple.
