摘要

Many applications of digitalization have become independent scientific fields. The digital representation of an image consists of pixels. Each pixel is characterized by its shape, its coordinates, and its color value. The quality of an image is determined by its resolution. A digital camera, for example, delivers \(4256 \times 2848\) pixels. These digitized images can now be used in a wide variety of ways. The applications in science have already been described. At present, however, there are also many new possibilities. One can already speak of the emergence of digital painting For example, you can provide a system with all of a painter’s pictures, and it will generate new pictures in the style of this painter, which can no longer be visually distinguished from real pictures.
