Digitization is not just a catalyst for technological transformation. It is also a catalyst for reconsidering how universities can build trust in their work. Technology has changed the pace of knowledge creation and opened new possibilities for collaboration. To build trust, data, methods, and software must be shared so that research can be examined by others. Universities must also build cultures in which values and technology coalesce toward improvement. Georgia Tech is provided as an example of strategic transformation with technology, including an online computer science master’s program that has attracted more than 10,000 students.
