Analytical Framework Applicative Examples. Reality Check and Optimization Scenarios
摘要
The application case presented in this chapter is intended to validate the proposed analytical-interpretative hypothesis and tools. The novel taxonomy, the rigorous stakeholder mapping method and the analytical framework described in Chap. 3 are applied in the in-depth investigation of the delivery model of a key Urban Facility Management service: public greenery monitoring and maintenance service. Based on the results of the pilot case, some necessary but not sufficient pre-conditions for the activation of Adaptation services systems are outlined and the introduction of new roles and figures in Adaptation services delivery models is proposed. A final section on possible optimizations scenarios closes the chapter: It goes through three soft-approach, low-regret and co-benefits measures that would facilitate the activation of Adaptation services and the operationalization of adaptation: (i) the re-writing of contracts specifications that regulate urban and climate services supply in the perspective of climate changes; (ii) the improvement of information management in Adaptation services delivery models; (iii) the creation of territorial networks to achieve a better efficiency in the acquisition and sharing of resources.
