So, it is required to develop new drugs for the treatment of smallpox or other poxvirusPoxviruses infections. Very few potential compounds for the treatment of poxvirusPoxviruses such as smallpox, chickenpox, and monkeypox have been reported. Most of the compounds has used as vaccines. CidofovirCidofovir is most commonly used as a vaccine for the treatment of poxvirusesPoxviruses. There are no phytochemicalsPhytochemicals reported for the treatment of poxvirusesPoxviruses. Very few phytochemicalsPhytochemicals are under investigation for the treatment of poxvirusesPoxviruses.
