Evolution of Genitourinary Reconstruction

We identified and described five landmark papers that have been paramount in the development of surgical techniques in the field of genito-urinary perineal reconstruction. Rather than approach the discipline as a single entity, we identified five revolutionary procedures and highlighted the investigations that provided breakthrough advances for each. By incorporating additional references, we sought to describe the advancements made since the initial landmark study. Additionally, we hope to provide readers with a direction for future works by illuminating areas that may benefit from more robust investigation.
