Craniofacial trauma can have significant functional, psychological, and aesthetic implications. The complexity of the craniofacial region and the diverse range of injuries make it difficult to select five landmark papers. However, we have chosen the most influential five papers because they enlighten surgeons as to both how and why current practices have evolved.
