Pedagogies for Deeper Thinking and Understanding
摘要
Children’s literature plays a crucial role in education because it provides knowledge and elements to deepen their understanding of issues of global significance. This chapter provides pedagogical frameworks and didactic recommendations to promote children’s holistic development and well-being. Education is also essential to help us achieve many other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The chapter tackles SDG 4 (Quality Education), recommending children’s literature as a tool to encourage young children to interact with the principles of Sustainable Development and become global citizens with voice and participation.
