Water and Sustainability SDG

This chapter focuses on the United Nations Sustainable Goals #6 Clear Water and Sanitation, #14 Life Below Water, and # 11Sustainable Cities and Communities. The chapter starts with a description of what constitutes a global issue and the need for water sustainability. This chapter then provides a selected list of children’s books on Water. The goal is that parents or teachers can use these books as resources to explore the need for clean water and the importance of the oceans and the resources they provide. The chapter also includes five learning activities from five selected children’s books. These learning activities were designed for parents and teachers to introduce and discuss the relevance of water in our lives and nurture the disposition for action.
