Wives and Partners
摘要
Nowadays, some institutions encourage scientific partnerships between spouses. In the not-too-distant past, some universities viewed such collaborations as nepotism, albeit a way to save on salaries, as it was almost certain that wives would collaborate with their husbands. For a woman aspiring to pursue a career in science and having a researcher as a spouse, the most obvious option was to collaborate with him. However, in these marital partnerships, it was almost guaranteed that the husband would be the one who received recognition for the successes achieved, even when scientific contributions were equal.
