摘要

The cooking process is considered one of the most important daily activities that consume a lot of energy and may be accompanied by harmful emissions. Solar cooking is an energy-saving cooking process utilizing the abundance of solar energy that can be used. In this research, solar cooking technology was implemented using a hybrid technology that combined two processes converting solar energy into heat; a solar evacuated tube and a solar box were both utilized to increase the temperature of the solar box. The findings show the tube contributing to raising the box’s temperature by about 15% as used in November, lasting from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM, when the ambient temperatures averaged 20 °C. This study showed positive results regarding the cooking of several types of food in the city of Baghdad (44.361–33.312).
