The Second Vatican Reformation, 1968–2019
摘要
Royce unfolds the normative transformations within the encyclical oeuvre of Popes John XXIII, Paul VI, and John Paul II, and then connects them with the decisive effects of democratic Catholicism observed in the work of Samuel P. Huntington. The large cluster of concordats pursuant to the Vatican Council II are identified, with the definitive concordats with Lithuania and with Burkina Faso also discussed. Analysis concludes with sustained examination of the official compilation and synthesis of Catholic social teaching that formally concludes the overall ecclesiological to ideational normative transformation.
