摘要

In Morocco, the building sector experiences continuous growth, with an annual increase of approximately 3% in the number of constructed housing units. This growth is accompanied by escalated energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The objective of this study is to comprehend how certifications and labels can contribute to reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint in Moroccan buildings, thereby enhancing environmental quality. The study examined HQE certification in the redevelopment and extension of a Hotel in Marrakech. The objectives of the HQE certification aimed for the Hotel project in Marrakech, and the strategies employed to attain the “Very Good” level, were based on the analysis of 14 targets across four themes: Energy, Environment, Health, and Comfort. The definition and contractualization of objectives, their prioritization, and the alignment of conclusions with prioritized issues were undertaken as a precursor to the next phase of the Operation Management System (OMS). This study provides insights into how these certifications can support the transition to more sustainable buildings, thereby contributing to more favorable urban environments and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
