Classifications of FGMs, Their Conventional and Additive Manufacturing Methods

摘要

The main objective of this work is to provide an overview about functionally graded materials (FGMs), in particular manufacturing methods. First of all, an introduction and a short history of FGMs are provided. Then, several conventional classifications are detailed based on various criteria such as structure, scale/dimensions, state during processing, type of gradient, and field of application, etc. In addition, both manufacturing methods of FGMs are presented, classical and additive manufacturing ones. Also, an overview of published works related to functionally graded additive manufacturing (FGAM) is provided.
