Vibration Analysis of Coupled Beams with Mass-Spring Elements: Comparative Study and Mode Exploration
摘要
In this study, we examine the transverse vibratory motion of two isotropic beams coupled by two springs, each connected to a mass, based on Euler-Bernoulli theory. The main objective is to determine the natural frequencies of free vibration and to establish the modes of vibration for this system of beams coupled by mass-spring elements. We also confirm these natural frequencies by comparing them with those already reported in the literature. In addition, we explore the effect of the coupling in the specific case where the two beams are clamped at all four ends. This in-depth study is carried out using the method of dividing the problem into sections.
