This concluding section offers insightful reflections on the edited volume Drones in Society: New Visual Aesthetics. It reviews the transformative impact of drones on our visual language and the pressing need for more research into the meanings, implications, and cultural influences of these new aesthetics within our technologically advancing world. This collection is a culmination of insights and collaborative efforts derived from the homonym conference and its accompanying drone visual exhibition that took place in Sheffield (UK) in 2022. This event was instrumental in bringing together a diverse group of experts from media, sociology, film, arts, and technology, promoting a rich, interdisciplinary exchange of ideas.
