Introduction: Public Sector Management and Economic Governance Revisited

This book examines public sector management and economic governance in Ghana’s Fourth Republic over the past thirty years, a unique longevity feature in contrast with the previous First, Second, and Third Republics in the political history of the country. The chapter discusses the reasons for the writing of the book, the methodology employed (mixed method and historical-analytical approach), a review of scholarship on public sector management and economic governance, and an overview of the 14 chapters excluding the introductory chapter.
